About the physics source

This learning edition adapts Physics I by Jake Yap and Laurence Vincent from the authorized version 1.0 source. It contains all 10 instructional chapters, 56 book sections and 242 glossary entries.

The original reading sequence and all 261 quiz questions are retained. Galleries and figure notes remain beside the ideas they explain. Calculators and models have been rebuilt for the web; source problem figures remain available with written notes.

The 100 original chapter problem slots are retained. This edition adds 200 varied problems and 300 worked solutions, kept on separate pages so you can attempt the problems first.

The source contains incorrect formulas, answer keys and several incompatible sets of problem data. The review records 939 lesson, glossary and quiz corrections. Each affected lesson includes reviewed physics notes with references; original problem solutions explain corrections or show why the stated data have no physical solution.

Static source diagrams may still contain old labels. Where a diagram conflicts with the corrected lesson, a nearby note explains which interpretation to use. Four momentum problems were recovered from their intended source previews because their scratchpad images repeated a different problem.

Your notes and lesson completion are saved in your browser. Previously saved drawing data remains available through the recovery download. They are available again on this browser and are not synchronized across devices.
