Formal Definition of Moment

Magnitude of moment: |M⃗| = |r⃗||F⃗| sin θ. Its vector direction is given by M⃗ = r⃗ × F⃗.

M→=Moment(N⋅m)
r→=Distance to Force from Point of Rotation(m)
F→=Applied Force(N)

[1N⋅m=kg⋅m2s2]
