Quadrant
The coordinate axes divide the plane into four quadrants. Quadrant I has two positive coordinates, and the numbering continues counterclockwise. For example, (−2,3) lies in Quadrant II, where cosine is negative and sine is positive. Points on an axis are not in any quadrant.
